I know it is hard to control...bout the book shows colorful geodes...and all we got was white.

My student loved the geodes. She loves rocks and this was especially fun for her to do.

My son was very disappointed in his geodes. The pictures on the box and in the mind ware catalog are very misleading.

It would be a better kit if a tool was included that would help break them in half. Using just a hammer they break into several pieces.

I bought this for my 10 year old niece who loves rocks. It was a good kit with information and geodes to break open

Sean, my 10 year old, LOVED the geodes. They do not open easily and took some real pounding with the hammer to break open. His friends think they are really cool too. I would recommend this product, but for older kids (9+) with parent supervision. We used the garage floor and ended up with alot of chips in the floor from hammering the geodes.

This was advertised as a kit. This only includes the rocks and googles.
