It's a great Rosicrucians to teach how to make bracelets and keep the strings separated. I would just make the top to fit on the box better. It Kees sliding off.

Agree with other that the directions are lacking, but once I started it off and saw the pattern, I could teach it to my 9 year old. It will take some practice. The quality of the kit itself is excellent.

Never thought that I would be soo attached to this product. My daughter loves it...I gave her one when she was 7, and even though she picked up on it, it did require my help on occation. I also have my own and have made several. For those with clip issue's, I have a tip...(once you have enough rows made; about an inch, reclip your bracelet from under the knot instead of the loop. this will keep it more in place and keep from moving much). At any rate, I love this product/toy and wish it was around when I was a kid....

very well madeage should be raised slightly.my granddaughter is 8 and had difficulty with it . my 10 year old grandson caught on better with my assistance. needs parental help learning and initial set up on the loom

My seven year old was able to do it, but needed a lot of adult instruction to get started. The clip is not strong enough to hold the thread in place at the top.

Overall, we really like this. It is time-consuming, but that is how friendship bracelets are. I do wish it came with more ideas on how to make them - like adding beads, etc. This is just the basic friendship bracelet.

I got this for a friend's girls and it was a little hard for them to focus on at Christmas time (as opposed to the other gifts that didn't require work!)...this one might be better for a late birthday present or something for a spend the night party?

Bought this for my 7 year old daughter for Christmas. It took me even a good 30 minutes to figure it out though by practicing. My 9 year old son eventually took over and made bracelets for all of us. It does a good job, but a 7 year old little girl (at least mine), doesn't have the finger dexterity or patience for this. I'd say this is best for ages 9 and up.

Looking at this in the catalog, I liked the design as it provided a way to maintain tension and separation of the threads. My daughter received it for Christmas and her first bracelet turned out much nicer than any others she has ever made. The process was faster and resulted in a lot less frustration.

My daughter loves this tool. She was able to make a bracelet within hours of receiving it, working at her own pace. The directions were simple and clear and the options were great.
