We gave this to our 9 year old for Christmas and he has not stopped using it! He has created his own slides to look at everything he can think of. Great starting microscope for young kids. Thanks MindWare.

Can't find anything wrong or not up to par in giving this 5 stars. My son loves it, we all actually love it. Does what it should for decent price. Wish I'd had one as a kid!Get the extra slide set....perfect gift! The book that comes with it is very informative as well! My son just likes reading the book all on it's own.

Outstanding microscope. Accurate lens, clear images. 2nd light is a great addition to a microscope. Solid, high quality construction. This is not a toy......but my 5 year old is having a blast with it! With supervision of course! But the controls are accurate and easy to use, knobs and controls are large enough for young fingers.

I have used quite a few microscopes both toy and professional during my life. We bought this kit for my grandchildren this year. This is by far the best inexpensive microscope that I have ever seen. All magnifications perform as expected. The brightness is excellent. The above and substage lighting are more than adequate. The image quality is certainly adequate if not superior, and it is a robust instrument. This is a true bargin that could actually be used as a field microscope for professional activities.

This Christmas gift was a hit with my nature-loving 9-year-old. It is easy to use and the accompanying book is a bonus. The clarity seems great, and my son even takes photos with his camera through the lens! I was also glad to get the slide kit and tools with the microscope. I would definitely recommend this microscope.
