We got this for our third grader. She can't get enough of it! It's much better quality than the others we found for kids. The base is heavy enough to be sturdy, not like the cheap plastic ones. The book that comes with it has fun experiments, great for when the initial excitment wears off.

My 9 and 4 year old grandchildren and I have been having a great time collecting and looking at material as wet mounts and macro specimens from inside and outside the house. Even though it is winter here we have collected all sorts of algae and aquatic invertebrates. We are all looking forward to field trips in the spring to collect more specimens. The book is very well written for children and we will trying some of the projects in there as well. A quality product! Thanks.

It is a nice sturdy microscope. The book is great. Very informative. I am a little disappointed in the highest magnification though. It has to be very close or even touching the slide to get it into focus. Wish there was a little more room for focusing.

Microscope is great quality and value. My kids are having the best time finding things to observe under the scope. So far everything they have tried, they have been able to see magnified and now have a new outlook on the things around them.

My 9 year old loves it! I thought the quality was excellent,not some plastic junk but really science lab worthy. We also bought the slide kit which was great because our son could immediately start to view things.

My daughter has been asking for a Micrscope for a few years now and I always said she was to young...this year I decieded to get her one for Christmas and the smile on her face was priceless!!! Since Christmas she has used it just about everyday to look at everything she can think of including hair strands and her tooth that fell out. This is a very good Microscope and the price is very reasonable!

My daughter (age 10) was thrilled with the microscope. I however was a bit disappointed with the 'professional quality' of it. I expected it to be a bit more robust. Very light weight and easy to knock over. She's happy, so I'm happy with the purchase.

The microscope was a Christmas gift for my 9 year old great granddaughter. It has been a big hit with both her and her dad. Her dad works in a lab and is familiar with microscopes. He often brings things home with him for them to look at under the microscope.

Our grandaughter wanted a microscope for Christmas, and I was looking all over for one that was good quality and good price. Well, we fournd it with the Microscope that we bought from Mindware. It works great and she will have many years of pleasure exploring with this. She can't wait to explore the pond scum. Glad we purchased this product.

really a good 'toy' for kids. My 9-yr old boy kept looking for things in the house to exam under the scope. I am also pleasantly educated what fabric and stink bugs look like under a microscope! The duo feature makes this scope easy to enjoy for kids!

My kids really like this microscope. They are 6 and 7. Some stuff e do not know what to do with yet, but I will read the book that came with it. Very professional, not 'toy' like at all.

My 10-year-old loves his microscope! Very similar to what I had as a child. Seems to have a little haziness at times, but he doesn't seem to notice.

The clarity is excellent. I got the microscope for my 10 year old granddaughter. I teach 6th grade science and your microscope is definitely on a par with the ones I use in school that cost a lot more.
