I was under the impression this would have a real case to solve with the detective tools provided in the kit. It is not fun. A lot of reading and no crime solving. The tools are nothing special: ink pad, notepad, tape measure, etc. Stuff we already have around the house. Not worth the money. Very disappointed.

Absolutely would recommend this product. Brought it for my granddaughter..she absolutely Loves it . The toolkit Comes with everything a beginner or someone who loves solving cases or crimes of any sort would need...great product.

While I was disappointed that we were missing the prongs, and the stamp pad was dried out before we got to use it and the invisible ink dries extremely fast; the remainder of the kit was fun. My almost 5 year old daughter absolutely loves it and couldn't get enough of it wanting to read the entire book and do all the activities day one even though some of the decoding activities are too advanced for her at this time. She has now decided she wants to be a police officer instead of a princess. Overall it is one of the better items we have bought from Mindware.

We purchased this for our sons birthday. It was a disappointment. It consists of card stock cut outs and cheap dollar store items. The magnifying glass was nothing like pictured and actually a very small all clear magnifier ( my kids have received similar things in fast food kids meals). We have purchased quality items from Mindware many times before but this definitely is the lowest quality item we have received. Disappointed that we spent so much for this. It's extremely overpriced!

The product was a waste of money. If I had known the caution tape was not in English or Spanish, I would have never purchased the item. I am mad at myself for spending money on this item. The book was to advanced for the age level.
