Our 5-year-old granddaughter loved these! (She's' already a reader, though she had us read these with her.). Loved finding the clues and puzzling out the mystery. And enjoyed many repeat readings.

My 7-year old daughter received these for Christmas and has already read through all of them. She wants books 5 - 8 for her birthday in 3 weeks!

This series was given to an eight year old with a high reading level and love of books. She was immediately drawn to the books and enjoyed going through the steps to solve the mysteries. As the series goes along the characters become familiar and the fun continues.

Our 7-year old granddaughter got these for Christmas; opened them on New Year's Day and was through all 4 by Sunday - while doing lots of other things! She was intrigued; loved finding the clues and really put her logical thinking to work! I would recommend them. We will be getting the rest of the series!

My daughter is enjoying these, but the pictures give away so much that she doesn't take the time to try and reason it out first.

My daughter (8y.o.) loves to read! She couldn't put them down! She liked how she was able to try to solve it using the picture before reading on and figuring it out. She said ' These need to be in my school library; everyone will love them!'.
