First off, the game itself is great. I am a couple games in and love it. I don't review often, but I do when I receive exceptional customer service. This is what prompted my review today. I received a copy of Quirkle with a damaged block. Within 3 business days of my email to MindWare, I received a new copy in the mail... free... no questions asked. I'd give a rating of 10 for the concept of the game but the colors are too difficult to see for elderly eyes, autistic eyes, color blind people etc. Why not gray colored tiles with 6 colors of different intensity. In my game the red and orange look alike. If everyone would write in, they would change it. Love the game - if I could see the colors.

We play so much colors wearing off. Would love to have a coating on tiles or made from other material. Also red and orange colors hard to tell difference in some light. We love the game

We really enjoy this game. It's great for adults! Recently my sister, brother-in-law, husband and I went on a cruise. 'Let's take Qwirkle!' said the men, expecting to cart along the regular-sized game. Little did they know that I'd recently discovered the Travel Qwirkle and it was all packed, waiting to go. They loved the surprise and spent hours playing the gameand introducing it to other people on the cruise.The one problem we have with the game is that the orange and red tiles are difficult to distinguish in some lights. We solved the problem by painting a dot on the center of the orange tiles using nail polish. It makes all the difference! It would also be nice if holders for the tiles were included (something like the Scrabble tile holders would be ideal).

I bought this for my mom because of the color/shape matching. She had a stroke in July and her doctors said that this was a good way for her to retrain her brain. We have played this many times and somehow she always seems to win! Pieces are a good size for handling and colors/shapes show up nicely. It is lots of fun to play and to see mom doing so well.

This game is great! We have played this game over a friends house and I had to get it for my child. The only thing that the game needs is a stand for each person to put their pieces on. Made some out of wall moldings just like what scrabble has. Some of my childs parents have also bought this game after they played with us!

I work with families and children teaching them skills such as: communication, problem solving, conflict resolution, social, cognitive, and focus/paying attention.Qwirkle has assisted me in teaching these children such skills by having fun while learning. My husband and I are 'senior citizens', and a friend brought over Qwirkle one evening and we sat around the dining room table playing. My husband and I loved it. It may say it is for 6 and up, but it's great for keeping our Senior minds active. We liked it so much, I bought it for a Christmas present for my husband.

My granddaughter is 4 and I modified the rules so that she could play. They are:A) Draw three tiles to start, play one tile per turn, draw a new tile after you play. B) On your turn, place your tile next to another tile so that it matches either the color or the pattern. The placed tile must match either the color or the pattern of each tile it touches (this is a very important rule). Sometimes you can place a tile so that it matches two or three tiles it touches. These placements are good for back-slaps and atta-boys. The tiles are very colorful and easily keep our kids attention. Adults can even play by these rules and be challenged somewhat.

Great game, and very challenging in a good way for the kids. My daughter is only six and she loves to play dominos, but this is way better for her,because it teaches her about color, shape, patterns, problem solving, and having more fun with others oppose to playing by herself. Fun game definitely.
